Movie Poster Promo

The main character in this movie poster you see is a boy named Alex. Alex is a boy that over comes his fears of big waves. Alex is in the ocean bogie boarding and getting a barrel. The beach that Alex is at is called lumihai a local beach in Kauai Hawaii.

The title to my movie is called "get over it". The title is trying to say get over your fears and face them. Also in my movie poster I said "a boy who over come his fear of big waves!" with i'm also trying to say to face your fears and over come them. In the movie poster I also said "in theaters soon!" when i say this i'm trying to intrigue people to come watch the movie. kerning is when you adjust the spacing between characters in a more professional use. When i use kerning I usually use it to make the words pop out more at the person that is reading the words.

The layer effects I put on my poster make the poster its self pop out more so people can look at it more. Over all i think it is a great poster.

Proactive or Procrastination?

Between a proactive person and a Procrastination person I think I am a proactive person. The reason I think that I am a proactive person is because I like to create or control a situation by causing something to happen rather than responding to it after it has happened. Also I think that it is better to be proactive because you get more done faster.

My level productivity is a little less than my amount of free time. When I have free time I try to find something proactive to do. I also feel like I could be better on my free time and try to do even more proactive things than what i'm already doing.

If I could change things about my work habits, one of the things I would change is I would try to get rid of things that distract me when i'm doing work. The way I would do it is try to work in a quiet place with no distractions.

My Visual Poem

My poem is about time flying bye, and how it is easy to lose track of time. I thought that my poem was ok but when i added the visual I was like wow its a lot better that I thought it would be. I thought that best thing about my poem visual was all the time lapse's and some of the pictures.

My special effects make the meaning of my poem stronger by putting more movement in a good way. Like I put transitions in to attract peoples attention. I could make my visual poem video better by putting more translations changes.

Im satisfied with my results and I think that I could put in more lines into my video and also put more translations. I would also make it longer by creating more lines and putting more translates in were there isn't as much as I wanted.

Finished News Story

Our story was about hurricane iniki and how it devastated kauai an island in the chain of islands of Hawaii. Also we learned about the before and after affects of how iniki devastated kauai, you will just have to watch the video your self. The people that made this video are Leleaka Anakalea, Seth Kostelecky, Lilio Masi, and Russell Fu. Theses people have worked hard and long days into this video, thats why I turned out so great.

The final of the video is very successful I think. I also think the this video has a lot of great B-roll and great voice over. And yes i'm very happy this the final of this video and i think next time when I make a video it will turn out better! And if I work will the same people again I feel that since we worked together already we will all be more experienced that we were before.

Yes I do agree with my criteria results it was a good report.

Real World Report

This article is about how Obama puts an airstrike on I.S.I.S. and how 40 different nations offered to help america on the air strike on I.S.I.S. This article is also about how America and the 40 different nations are going to take every thing that I.S.I.S. has and wipe I.S.I.S out from under there feet.

I think that America and the 40 different nations should kill all of I.S.I.S. and wipe them out. I also think that I.S.I.S. should be destroyed for what they did. I also think that we should get I.S.I.S. out of there safe haven and make them suffer because we will not tolerate what I.S.I.S. is doing to the American people.

We should care about this because it is a very bad thing what I.S.I.S. did to america. And we should not let them have that power to be able to to such things to our land and people. This is also important because we should have the authority to be able to keep our country same from I.S.I.S. and its target.

Lessons Learned

The most interesting part of my project is how we work together like some time we understand each other and some times we don't understand each other. Also one of the most interesting things it that most the things that we do we work together and help each each other in the work that we are working on.

The biggest roadblock out team handled so far is probably the interviews that we transcribed. The interviews were really hard to to with the rule of thirds and it is also hard to hide the microphone out of the cameras way. Are team also handled a lot of difficult editing struggles on finale cut pro because we are just learning how to use final cut pro.

The most valuable part of the filmmaking proses is to make sure that the camera is rolling and the lens cap isn't on when you are rolling. Also when you are taking a interview make sure that the camera can't see the microphone if you are using one. Also if you are in a windy area make sure the microphone doesn't pick up the windy sound. You also have to have the rule of thirds and make sure that the interview isn't  looking directly at the camera.  

HikiNo Behind the Scenes

This is Russel Fu and I working on a HikiNo News project. Our project that we are working on for HikiNo news is that we are interviewing people that have ben threw a hurricane. We are also interviewing people that know a lot about hurricanes and how the hurricanes are made. This project that we are doing is turning out well.

When we are not rolling the camera we are going threw what the next question will be and how the interviewee will answer them. We also try to move the microphone out of the way so the camera wont see the microphone on the interviewee. I also love to help all my peers in the interviews so they don't mess up in the interview and we will have bettor footage for our project.

One thing that I can do to help my team is that I can help them organize our camera supplies.I can also read the interviewee the questions so that they can think about there answers that they are going to give us. If my peers are disagreeing i can give them a new idea of what to do.
   

 

The Experiment

We did this photoshop experiment in class for Mr. Sanderl. I made this rainbow rose in G.T. just to explore photoshop and learn from our mistakes and if we learn from our mistakes we wont make thoes mistakes again. Because we can learn more from out mistakes then we will learn form other things.

This was good for us because we learned from it and it helped us in out experience of photoshop. This was also wrong because usually Mr. Sanderl teaches us and shows us what to do with stuff we are just learning.

Back To School

My favorite moment so far is making new friend at KMS. So far this year I really enjoyed spending my recesses laughing and talking story with all my peers. I really hope the rest of the year is going to be fun as the first two weeks also I want to make more friends this year. 

My biggest challenge so far was doing my photoshop project in G.T. This year ill be successful because I will try my hardest in school and in G.T. and i will become better with computers and things like that in G.T.
